So here's my take on PlayStation Family. I've tested a bunch of parental control and family gaming apps, and this one's a pretty solid option. The best part is how it lets you easily set up accounts and controls for your kids - you can decide what games they can play and how long they can play each day. And that's a game-changer if you're constantly nagging them to get off the console. The activity reporting is helpful too, so you can see what they're actually doing. On the downside, the app can be a little glitchy sometimes and the controls aren't as advanced as I'd like. But for most parents, it'll get the job done.

Description

Been using PlayStation Family for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you keep track of your kid’s gaming activity on PlayStation. Pretty solid if you’re a parent with a PlayStation at home.

Here’s what you can do: you can set up accounts for your kids, decide which games they can play based on age, and even control their daily playtime. And there’s also a report that shows you what they’ve been up to – their online status, the games they played, and stuff like that. Took me a while to figure out all the features but it’s actually pretty useful.

Look, if you’ve got young kids who game on PlayStation, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the parental controls could be a bit more robust and the app can be a little buggy at times. But overall it does the job and makes managing your family’s PlayStation use a lot easier.
