I've tested a bunch of parental control apps and Xbox Family Settings is one of the better ones. It's got all the features you'd expect - time limits, content filters, friend request approvals, etc. And - and they're generally pretty easy to set up and use. The app could use a UI refresh to make things a bit more intuitive, but it gets the job done. If you're an Xbox household, this is a solid option to keep your kids' gaming in check.

Description

Been using Xbox Family Settings for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you control your kids’ Xbox usage – you can set time limits, content restrictions, and keep an eye on their activity. Pretty solid app if you’re a parent with kids who game.

Here’s what you can do: you can add your kids to your family account, set screen time limits so they don’t game all day, and block certain games or apps if they’re not age-appropriate. There’s also a feature where you can approve friend requests – gotta keep an eye on who they’re playing with, right? Took me a while to figure all that out but it’s actually pretty useful.

Look, if you’ve got kids who play Xbox, you’ll probably find this helpful. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a little clunky at times – but overall it does the job of giving you control and peace of mind. Worth checking out if you need to manage your family’s Xbox usage.

removed xbox from family settings app with no warning and the app does not allow a sign in. Errors out before you can even get started.
