So here's my honest take on CloudEdge. I've tested a bunch of home security apps and this one's pretty solid overall. The motion detection and live video features work well, and I like that you can set custom alerts. And the UI is a little clunky but not a dealbreaker. My main gripe is that the video quality could be improved, but for the basics it gets the job done. If you need a simple way to monitor your place remotely, CloudEdge is worth a look.

Pros

  • Tons of customization options for alerts and reminders
  • Motion detection works reliably to notify you of activity
  • Free to use with no monthly fees
  • Live video feed is handy for checking in on things
  • Integrates with a bunch of smart home devices

Cons

  • Video quality could be better, especially in low light
  • Interface takes some getting used to, not the most intuitive
  • Occasional connection issues if your internet is spotty
  • Ads can be annoying unless you pay for the pro version

Description

Been playing CloudEdge for a couple months now. It’s basically a lifestyle app that lets you monitor your home or business from anywhere. Pretty solid if you’re into home security and that kind of thing.

Here’s what you do – you can set up cameras around your place and the app will send you a push notification whenever it detects motion. There’s also a live video feed so you can check in on things. And you can set up custom alerts and reminders, which is useful.

Look, if you’re worried about keeping an eye on your home or office when you’re not there, you’ll probably like CloudEdge. It’s not perfect – the video quality could be better and the UI takes some getting used to – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.

Works fine on the phone. Too many notifications. Absolutely does not work with Alexa. Was really hoping to connect these cameras with my Alexa devices. The skill is there, but...
