So here's my take on Police Detector - Speed Radar. I've tested a bunch of traffic and navigation apps, and this one's pretty solid. The core features work well - marking speed traps, seeing where cops are, all that good stuff. It's easy to use and the radar detector is a nice bonus.

The only real downsides are that the map can be buggy at times and the ads get old fast if you don't pay. But for a free app, it's hard to complain. If you drive a lot and want to avoid tickets, this is definitely worth downloading.

Pros

  • Totally free to use, no paid version needed
  • Lets you mark speed traps, police patrols, and other road events
  • Shows where other users have spotted speed cameras and cops
  • Radar detector mode is pretty accurate and helpful
  • Works well on older phones, no major performance issues

Cons

  • Map can be glitchy and slow to update sometimes
  • Ads are pretty annoying if you don't pay to remove them
  • Takes a while to build up a reliable database of speed trap locations

Description

Been using Police Detector – Speed Radar for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you mark speed traps and police patrols on a map, so other users can see where they are. There’s also stuff like traffic jams and road closures you can report.

The main thing you do is just drop pins on the map where you spot cops or speed cameras. And if other people have done that too, you can see their markers. There’s also a radar detector mode which is pretty cool.

Look, if you drive a lot and want to know where the speed traps are, this app’s worth checking out. It’s not perfect – the map can be a bit glitchy sometimes and there are ads that get annoying. But overall it does the job and it’s free, so can’t really complain.
