So here's my take on AlpineQuest Off-Road Explorer. I've tried a bunch of different outdoor/navigation apps and this one's pretty solid overall. The offline maps are a game changer if you're hiking, biking, or exploring remote areas. And the real-time GPS tracking with compass is really handy. The UI could be more intuitive, but once you get the hang of it, it's easy enough to use. Definitely worth downloading if you're an outdoorsy person.

Description

Been using AlpineQuest Off-Road Explorer for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you access all kinds of offline maps – hiking, biking, sailing, you name it. Pretty solid if you’re into outdoor activities and sports.

There’s a ton of different maps you can download and store on your device. So even when you’re off the grid, you can still see where you are on the map in real-time thanks to the GPS. It’s got a compass too, which is really useful for navigation. Took me a while to figure out all the features but once I got the hang of it, it’s been super helpful.

Look, if you spend a lot of time outdoors, you’ll probably get a lot of use out of this app. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a bit confusing at first – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you need a good offline maps and navigation tool.

Big problems for Android users. Maps, Tracks and print files etc are stored in Android/data. It seems that Android does not allow easy access to this area. Developers must give...

This is by far the best mapping app available. You can purchase features one by one so that you only pay for what you need. And it's not a subscription....

The absolute gold standard of all navigation apps. I've tried most map-apps (and use them daily for work). Alpine Quest is by far the best for the outdoors. It might...
