So here's my honest take on HiiKER: The Offline Hiking app. I've tested a bunch of outdoor/hiking apps and this one's up there with the best. The sheer number of trails is really impressive, and I love being able to download them for offline use. The route planning and GPS features work well too. But it's not all perfect - the UI can feel a bit cluttered and overwhelming at times. And some of the extra features like the campsite finder are a bit hit or miss. Overall though, it's a pretty solid app that I'd recommend to any hiking enthusiast.

Description

Been using HiiKER: The Offline Hiking app for a couple months now. It’s basically a hiking app that lets you download thousands of hiking trails to your phone, so you can use them even when you don’t have internet. Pretty solid app if you’re into the outdoors.

Here’s what you do: you can browse over 100,000 verified hiking trails, plan your own custom routes, and even find campsites, hotels, stores, and water sources along the way. There’s also a built-in GPS tracker to record your hikes, and you can create custom waypoints for navigation and geocaching. And you can import/export GPX files for free – that’s super handy.

Look, if you’re an avid hiker or just someone who loves being in nature, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a bit clunky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want a comprehensive offline hiking companion.
