So here's my take on FreeStyle LibreLink - US. I've tried a bunch of glucose tracking apps and this one's pretty solid. The best part is being able to just scan your sensor with your phone instead of doing fingersticks. And it's way more convenient. The data visualization is also really helpful for spotting trends. But it does have some issues - the connection can be spotty sometimes and the reports take some getting used to. Overall though, it's a great companion app if you use the FreeStyle Libre system.

Pros

  • Scan your glucose with your phone, no fingersticks needed
  • Tons of data - can see current reading, trends, history, and reports
  • Add notes about food, insulin, exercise to track what affects your levels
  • Connect to healthcare providers through the LibreView feature

Cons

  • Sensor connection can be unreliable at times
  • The reports and graphs take some getting used to
  • Need to use the FreeStyle Libre system, not compatible with other CGMs
  • Can't view data directly on the app, need to sync to the cloud first

Description

Been using FreeStyle LibreLink – US for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you monitor your glucose levels by just holding your phone up to your sensor. Pretty solid if you need to track your blood sugar regularly.

Here’s what you can do: you can check your current glucose reading, see your trends, and even add notes about your food, insulin, and exercise. There’s also some cool reports and graphs to help you understand your data. Took me a while to figure all that out, but it’s actually pretty useful.

Look, if you have diabetes and use the FreeStyle Libre system, you’ll probably get a lot of use out of this app. It’s not perfect – the sensor sometimes loses connection and the reports can be a bit confusing – but overall it does the job. Worth trying out if you’re looking for a better way to track your glucose.

The app is merely ok. Just the very basic functionality is there. Note to developers: include a way to zoom in into the graphs. The graph is so coarse. On...

Overall it's a good app, but there is room for improvement. First, the graphs could be more granular and being zoomable would be great. The glucose level jumps by increments...
