I’ve been using AudioTool for a couple months now. It’s basically this really comprehensive audio analysis app that’s got a ton of features for sound engineers and audiophiles. Tons of cool stuff like an SPL (decibel) meter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, and even a speaker polarity checker. Basically everything you’d need to diagnose and fix audio issues.
There’s a whole bunch of modes and settings to dig into – you can do 1/1, 1/3, 1/6 octave RTA, measure Leq, Sones, RT60, and more. Plus you can record SPL charts, generate different test signals, and even calibrate your mic. It’s got a pretty deep feature set that can get a little complex, but the UI is straightforward enough once you spend some time with it.
Look, if you’re an audio engineer or just someone who’s into this kind of stuff, you’ll probably really dig AudioTool. It’s not perfect – the interface can be a bit cluttered and the learning curve is a little steep. But overall it’s a super powerful tool that does just about everything you’d need for audio analysis and testing. Worth checking out for sure.
