So here's my take on RTA Pro Analyzer. I've tested a bunch of audio analysis apps and this one's definitely one of the more capable ones out there. The level of customization is impressive - you can really dial in the frequency bands and visualization to your liking. In my experience, the performance has been solid too, no lag even on older devices. The only real downside is the learning curve, as there's a lot of features to get familiar with. But if you put in the time, it's a super powerful tool for audio pros.

Pros

  • Tons of customization options for the frequency analysis
  • Saves calibration data permanently so you don't have to redo it
  • Handles up to 120 frequency bands without slowing down
  • Exports peak/RMS values to CSV for further analysis

Cons

  • UI can be a bit complex and take some time to get used to
  • Exporting screenshots could be easier
  • Some advanced features may be overkill for casual users

Description

Been using RTA Pro Analyzer for a couple months now. It’s basically a super advanced real-time audio spectrum analyzer app. Pretty solid if you’re into that kind of thing.

Here’s what you can do: there’s a ton of customization options like different band spacing and up to 120 frequency bands. It’s got scalable peak holds and a bunch of color schemes too. And you can save calibration data permanently, which is useful. Took me a while to figure out all the features but they’re pretty cool once you get the hang of it.

Look, if you’re an audio engineer or sound designer, you’ll probably love this app. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a bit clunky at times – but overall it does the job really well. Worth checking out if you need a powerful RTA tool.
