So here's my honest take on Polaris - Pocket Music Maker. I've tested a bunch of music production apps and this one's definitely one of the better ones for mobile. The workflow is really smooth and intuitive, and the sound quality is pretty impressive for a phone app. And the built-in synth and samples give you a lot of creative options without needing a ton of gear. That said, the mixing capabilities are a bit basic, and it can get a little overwhelming with all the features if you're new to this kind of thing. But overall, I'd say it's a great option if you want a powerful but user-friendly mobile music studio.

Description

Been using Polaris – Pocket Music Maker for a couple months now. It’s basically a digital audio workstation that lets you make beats and songs right on your phone. Pretty solid app if you’re into electronic music production.

Here’s what you do: there’s a 4×4 grid where you can program different sounds and rhythms. You can mess with the parameters of each track to create all sorts of cool effects. It’s got a built-in synth and sample library too, so you can just start jamming without needing any other gear. Took me a while to figure out all the features but it’s actually pretty intuitive once you get the hang of it.

Look, if you’re into making your own music, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the mixing tools are a little limited – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you wanna create beats on the go.
