I've tested a bunch of speaker-boosting apps and AmpMe is one of the better ones. The ability to sync music across multiple devices is super convenient, and it works well for parties or just chilling with friends. The interface is pretty intuitive and it's easy to get things set up. The downside is that the free version has some annoying ads, and I've had a few issues with the syncing dropping out. But for a free app, it's a pretty solid option if you want to get the most out of your phone's speakers.

Description

Been using AmpMe – Speaker Booster for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you turn your friends’ phones into one big speaker system. Pretty cool if you’re into listening to music or watching videos with a group.

Here’s how it works: you can stream stuff from Spotify, YouTube, your music library, and a few other services. Then you just connect your friends’ phones to the same session and boom – the music/video gets played in sync across all the devices. The more phones you link up, the louder it gets. There’s also a feature to join public parties with people around the world, which is kind of fun.

Look, if you’re into social music listening, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the syncing can be a little finicky sometimes and the free version has ads – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want to amp up your music sessions.

$10 a month just to link phones together to play the same song? Anyone who thinks any number of phones combined is better than an actual speaker is either delusional,...
