So here's my honest take on IndyStar: Indianapolis Star. I've tested a bunch of news apps and this one's pretty solid. The customizable feed is great, and the sports coverage is top-notch. But I do wish the ads weren't so intrusive, and the UI can feel a bit cluttered at times. Overall though, it's a reliable source for Indianapolis news and a good option if you live in the area.

Description

Been using IndyStar: Indianapolis Star for a couple months now. It’s basically a news app that covers everything happening in Indy – from sports and politics to entertainment and local stories. Pretty solid app if you’re into keeping up with what’s going on in the city.

Here’s what you do: you can customize the news topics you want to follow, so you only see the stuff that matters to you. There’s also a cool section for high school and college sports – great if you have kids playing. And the live coverage of Colts and Pacers games is super useful, saves me from having to flip between a bunch of different apps.

Look, if you’re into local news and want to stay on top of what’s happening in Indianapolis, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the ads can get a little annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.
