I've tested a bunch of parental control apps and Xplora is one of the better ones I've used. The core features - location tracking, safe zones, messaging - all work really well and are super convenient. It's not trying to do too much, just the essentials for managing a kid's smartwatch. The activity challenges are a nice touch too, gets the whole family moving. Biggest downside is the occasional glitches with the location, but I'm nitpicking. Overall, Xplora is a really solid option if you want to keep tabs on your kids' smartwatch.

Description

I’ve been using the Xplora app for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you manage your kid’s Xplora smartwatch. Basically, you can use it to keep an eye on where they are, make sure they’re staying in their ‘safe zone’, and even put the watch in ‘school mode’ to limit distractions during class.

There’s a bunch of cool features – you can make calls and send messages straight to their watch, check their activity levels, and even have little friendly competitions to see who’s the most active. Took me a bit to figure some of it out, but it’s actually pretty intuitive once you get the hang of it.

Look, if you’ve got young kids with the Xplora smartwatch, this app is a no-brainer. It’s not perfect – the location tracking can be a bit glitchy sometimes and the school mode is a little overly restrictive. But overall, it’s a solid way to stay connected and keep your kids safe. Worth checking out for sure.
