So here's my honest take on Starting Solids: Baby Food. I've tested a bunch of parenting apps and this one's pretty solid. The guidance on when and how to start solids is really helpful, especially for first-time parents. The food tracking is a nice feature too. But it's not without its issues - the meal suggestions can get a bit repetitive and the UI feels a little basic at times. Still, it's free to use and does what it needs to do, so I'd recommend giving it a shot if you're in that stage with your little one.

Description

Been using Starting Solids: Baby Food for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that helps you get your baby started on solid foods. Pretty solid app if you’re a new parent looking to make that transition smoothly.

Here’s what you do: there’s a guide that tells you when and how to start introducing solids based on your baby’s age. It’s got info on things like safe food prep, textures to try, and introducing allergens. There’s also a food tracker where you can log what your baby eats, any reactions, and their likes/dislikes. Took me a while to figure that part out but it’s actually really useful.

Look, if you’re a new parent trying to navigate the whole solid foods thing, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – some of the meal ideas get a bit repetitive after a while – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.
