So here's my take on OldRoll - Vintage Film Camera. I've tested a bunch of photo apps and this one's pretty solid. The retro filters are super convincing and give your shots a really cool analog feel. And i dig the different camera "lenses" that each have their own unique style. The only downside is the UI can be a little confusing to navigate at first, but you get used to it. Overall though, it's a great way to add some vintage flair to your photos without having to mess with actual film. Definitely recommend giving it a try if you're into that kind of thing.

Pros

  • Tons of different retro filters to choose from
  • Filters look super realistic and add great character
  • Free to use, don't have to pay for anything
  • Easy to adjust settings like exposure and focus
  • Works well on both newer and older phones

Cons

  • User interface can be a bit clunky at first
  • Some of the filters are pretty similar to each other
  • Can get repetitive after a while if you don't mix it up
  • Occasional bugs or crashes, not the most stable app

Description

Been using OldRoll – Vintage Film Camera for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you take photos with cool retro filters that make them look straight out of the 80s. Pretty solid if you’re into that vintage/analog aesthetic.

Here’s what you do: there’s a bunch of different camera “lenses” to choose from, each with its own unique film effect. The classic M camera gives you that classic Leica look, the 503 CW has great color saturation, and the INS P is made for Polaroid-style shots. You can mess with the exposure, focus, and other settings to get the perfect vintage vibe.

Look, if you’re into photography and love the retro film look, you’ll probably really like this app. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a little clunky at times – but overall it does the job of making your photos look awesome. Definitely worth checking out.
