So here's my take on Light Meter. I've tested a bunch of photography apps and this one's right up there with the best. The spot and incident meters work really well - I've found them to be pretty accurate compared to my standalone light meters. The extra features like the color temp and DoF calculators are super handy too. Not gonna lie, there's a bit of a learning curve to figure everything out, but once you get the hang of it, it's a really powerful tool. Definitely recommend giving it a try if you're into that sort of thing.

Description

Been using Light Meter for a couple months now. It’s basically a light measurement app that uses your phone’s camera and sensors to give you all kinds of useful photography tools. Pretty solid app if you’re into that kind of thing.

Here’s what you can do: there’s a spot meter that uses the camera to measure reflected light, and an incident meter that uses the built-in light sensor. It’s got a color temperature meter, reciprocity calculator, depth of field calculator – tons of handy stuff all in one place. Took me a while to figure out some of the features but they’re all pretty useful once you get the hang of it.

Look, if you’re into photography and need a versatile light meter, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a bit cluttered at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want an all-in-one solution.
