So here's my take on Cinema FV-5. I've tested a bunch of mobile camera apps and this one is definitely one of the more powerful ones. The level of manual control is really impressive for a phone app. You can dial in your settings just like on a DSLR. And the image quality is great too. On the downside, it does take some time to learn all the features, and the UI is a bit cluttered. But if you put in the effort, you can capture some really professional-looking footage. Overall, it's a great option for mobile videographers who want more control than your average camera app.

Pros

  • Tons of manual controls for exposure, ISO, white balance, focus, and more
  • Can adjust settings even while recording video
  • Saves custom camera profiles for quick access
  • Produces high-quality video footage
  • Lots of advanced features without being overwhelming

Cons

  • Steep learning curve, can be overwhelming at first
  • Interface is a bit cluttered with all the settings
  • Takes some time to get the hang of all the features
  • Might be overkill for casual users

Description

I’ve been using Cinema FV-5 for a couple months now. It’s basically a professional-level video camera app that puts a ton of manual controls right on your phone. Pretty solid if you’re into mobile videography and stuff like that.

Here’s what you can do: Adjust all the camera settings like exposure, ISO, white balance, focus mode, and more. You can even change them while you’re recording, which is super handy. There’s also cool features like matrix/center/spot metering and the ability to save custom camera profiles. Takes a bit of tinkering to get the hang of it, but it’s worth it.

Look, if you’re a videographer or just someone who likes to make cool videos on your phone, you’ll probably dig this app. It’s not perfect – the interface can be a little overwhelming at first and the learning curve is kinda steep. But overall it does the job and gives you a ton of control. Worth checking out if you’re into that kind of thing.
