I've tested a bunch of rhythm games on my phone, and Friday Night Funkin' is one of the better ones I've come across. The controls are responsive, the music is catchy, and there's a good amount of content to keep you coming back. And sure, it's got its issues - the difficulty curve is a bit uneven and the upgrade system is a grind - but those aren't dealbreakers. If you like rhythm games, this is definitely worth your time.

Description

Been playing Friday Night Funkin’ for a couple months now. It’s basically a rhythm game where you have to hit notes in time with the music. Basically, your girlfriend’s evil dad is trying to keep you two apart, so you’ve gotta challenge all these weirdo characters to rhythm battles to prove you’ve got the skills.

There’s a ton of different songs and characters to unlock, and the soundtrack is seriously impressive. You can play through the story mode or just jump into free play. There’s also an online mode where you can challenge other players, which is pretty fun.

Look, if you’re into rhythm games, you’ll probably dig this. It’s not perfect – the difficulty can spike pretty hard at times and the upgrades take forever – but overall it’s a solid time. Worth checking out for sure.
