So here's my honest take on Bowling Brackets / Sidepots. I've tested a bunch of sports management apps and this one's pretty solid. It's got a ton of features for running leagues and tournaments, from brackets to different sidepots. The interface isn't the prettiest but it's functional. I'd say it's better than trying to do this all manually in a spreadsheet. Not gonna lie, it took me a little while to figure everything out, but once you get the hang of it, it makes running events a whole lot easier.

Pros

  • Tons of features for managing bowling leagues and tournaments
  • Supports different bracket types and sidepot styles
  • Free to use, don't need to pay for the good stuff
  • Useful for both casual leagues and competitive tournaments
  • Gets the job done without being overly complicated

Cons

  • Interface is a bit dated and clunky in spots
  • Can be overwhelming at first with all the options
  • Occasional bugs and crashes, not the most stable app
  • Ads can get annoying if you don't pay for the ad-free version

Description

Been using Bowling Brackets / Sidepots for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you run different types of brackets and sidepots for your bowling leagues and tournaments. Pretty solid app if you’re into that sort of thing.

Here’s what you do: you can set up single elimination brackets based on player scores, with different bracket sizes. There’s also sidepots like high game every game, high nightly game, and high nightly series. And there’s an ‘eliminator’ mode where the field gets cut down. Took me a while to figure all that out but it’s pretty useful once you get the hang of it.

Look, if you’re a bowling league organizer or tournament runner, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a little clunky sometimes – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you need something to manage your brackets and sidepots.
