Been using MAPS.ME: Offline maps GPS Nav for a couple months now. It’s basically a free app that gives you super detailed maps you can download and use without needing the internet. There’s turn-by-turn navigation for driving, walking, and biking – works great whether you’ve got signal or not.
The travel guides are pretty cool too. You can download stuff like city guides, road trip routes, and hiking trails ahead of time. Saved me a bunch of time planning my last trip. And the maps are constantly updated by the OpenStreetMap community, so the info is always fresh.
Look, if you’re into travel apps or just need reliable offline maps, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the ads can be a bit annoying if you don’t pay. But overall it does the job and is way better than Apple or Google’s default map apps.
