So here's my honest take on Fog of World. I've tested a bunch of travel/exploration apps and this one's pretty solid. The mapping is detailed and the ability to trace your routes is a neat feature. It's free to play too, so you don't have to spend money to enjoy it. On the downside, it can get a bit repetitive after a while and the upgrade system is kind of grindy. But overall, if you're looking for a fun way to visualize and track your travels, Fog of World is worth a look.

Description

Been using Fog of World for a couple months now. It’s basically a game where you have to explore the world map and remove the fog to reveal places you’ve been. Pretty solid app if you’re into that kind of travel/exploration stuff.

Here’s what you do: you start with a blank world map and have to visit different locations to uncover them. There’s also a feature where you can draw your travel routes, which is pretty cool. And you can compete with friends to see who’s been to more places – took me a while to figure that one out but it’s a fun way to make it more of a game.

Look, if you’re into mapping/tracking your travels, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the map data could be more up-to-date in some areas – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if that’s your thing.
