So here's my honest take on Emby for Android. I've tested a bunch of media management apps and this one's pretty solid overall. The automatic media conversion works well, and I like how it keeps everything organized with nice artwork and info. The sharing and parental controls are also nice touches. On the downside, the interface can be a bit confusing at first and there are occasional bugs. But for a free app, Emby gets the job done and I'd recommend it for anyone needing to wrangle their personal media library.

Been playing Emby for Android for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that brings all your personal media – videos, music, photos – into one place so you can stream it to your devices. Pretty solid if you’re into that kinda thing.

Here’s what you do: you can browse your whole media collection, and Emby will automatically convert everything so it plays nicely on your phone or tablet. And there’s also an option to easily share stuff with friends and family, which is pretty cool. And you can even watch live TV and record shows with a TV tuner – took me a while to figure that one out but it’s a useful feature.

Look, if you’re big into managing your personal media and streaming it around, you’ll probably like Emby. It’s not perfect – the interface can be a little clunky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if that’s your thing.
