Been using the Zelus WBGT app for a couple months now. It’s basically an environmental safety tool that gives you real-time data on weather conditions like heat, lightning, and air quality. Sounds kinda boring, I know, but it’s actually pretty useful if you’re into outdoor stuff like sports, construction, or military operations.
The app’s got a bunch of features – you can track the WBGT (Wet Bulb Globe Temperature) which is the gold standard for heat safety, get lightning strike alerts, and monitor local air quality. There’s also some risk management tools to help you plan your activities based on the conditions. Took me a while to figure out all the different metrics but once you get the hang of it, it’s pretty straightforward.
Look, if you need to stay on top of environmental conditions for work or just wanna stay safe when you’re out and about, this app is worth checking out. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a bit clunky and the lightning detection isn’t 100% reliable – but overall it does a solid job. Definitely better than trying to track all this stuff manually.
