Been playing METAL SLUG 3 ACA NEOGEO for a couple months now. It’s basically a classic arcade-style action game where you run and gun through levels, taking down waves of enemies. Pretty solid if you’re into retro 2D shooters.
The game’s got all the stuff you’d expect – tons of different weapons and vehicle powerups, crazy boss battles, and challenging levels that’ll make you rage a bit. And there’s also an online ranking mode which is a nice addition. The virtual controls work alright, but you’ll probably want to use a controller if you’ve got one.
Look, if you’re a fan of the METAL SLUG series or just like old-school arcade action, you’ll probably get a kick out of this. It’s not perfect – the difficulty can be brutal at times and the graphics are a little dated. But overall it’s a really fun game that stays true to the classic arcade experience.
