Been playing METAL SLUG 4 ACA NEOGEO for a couple months now. It’s basically a classic 2D side-scrolling shooter game, but they’ve updated it to work on smartphones. You run and gun through levels, blasting enemies and bosses, just like the old METAL SLUG arcade games.
There’s a bunch of cool features – you can customize the virtual controls, there’s online leaderboards so you can compete against other players, and they’ve even added quick save/load so you can play in short bursts. It’s got that same retro arcade vibe but with some modern conveniences.
Look, if you’re into action games or just want a fun, challenging shooter to play, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the levels can get a little repetitive after a while and the ads can be annoying if you don’t pay. But overall it’s a solid port of a classic game, and it’s free to play so it’s worth checking out.
