So here's my take on Dino Quake. I've tested a bunch of arcade platformers and this one's right up there with the best of them. The core gameplay loop of quaking enemies and then kicking them is super satisfying, and the unlockable characters add a nice layer of variety. The retro visuals and music are also a big plus in my book. On the downside, the grind to upgrade your dino can get tedious, and the ads can be intrusive if you don't pay. But those are relatively minor issues in an otherwise super fun and polished package. If you're a fan of the genre, I'd definitely recommend giving Dino Quake a try.

Description

Been playing Dino Quake for a couple months now. It’s basically an arcade-style platformer where you play as a dino who can create quakes to stun enemies, then kick them to trigger avalanches. Pretty cool concept if you’re into that sort of thing.

Here’s what you do: you run and jump through different levels, hitting the ground to make quakes that knock back baddies. Then you can kick them to set off big avalanches and clear the area. There’s also a bunch of playable characters to unlock, which is a nice touch. And the 16-bit pixel art style is super charming – the music’s great too.

Look, if you’re a fan of arcade platformers, you’ll probably dig this. It’s not perfect – the upgrades can get grindy after a while and the ads can be annoying. But overall it’s a pretty solid time-waster that’s worth checking out.
