So here's my honest take on OG Trail - Travel to Oregon. I've tested a bunch of retro game apps and this one's pretty solid. It nails the classic Oregon Trail gameplay and feels authentic. The strategic depth is impressive without being too overwhelming. The graphics may be basic but they get the job done and it runs smoothly even on older devices. My main gripe is that the upgrades and progression can get grindy after a while. And those ads do get annoying, even though it is a free app. But overall, if you're an Oregon Trail fan, I'd definitely recommend giving this a try.

Description

Been playing OG Trail – Travel to Oregon for a couple months now. It’s basically a classic Oregon Trail simulation you can play right on your Android phone. Pretty solid app if you’re into retro games and historical stuff.

Here’s what you do: you take on the role of a pioneer traveling the Oregon Trail back in the day. There’s different characters you can play as, and you gotta manage resources, hunt for food, and survive the journey. It’s got some cool mini-games too like fishing and trading. Took me a while to figure out all the mechanics but it’s actually pretty fun once you get the hang of it.

Look, if you’re into old school educational games, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the graphics are pretty basic and there’s some annoying ads – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you wanna relive the Oregon Trail experience on your phone.

classic game. hunting is a bit tricky, but otherwise it's exactly as I remembered.

love this game!!! it's nice to find a retro game from my childhood. The only thing is I wish the controller for mobile phones were better

its great but the save feature is rather busted. if you leave the window for a few mimutes and come back your save is 100% gone and you gotta start...
