So here's my take on Beast Slayer - Retro 8 Bit RPG. I've tested a bunch of 8-bit and retro-style RPGs, and this one's definitely one of the better ones. The combat is challenging but not frustratingly hard, and the boss battles are super satisfying to beat. I also really dig the graphics - they've got that classic pixel art style that looks great. In my experience, the progression system is well-balanced and you don't feel forced to spend money, which is awesome. The only real downside is that it can get a little repetitive after a while, but that's true of most games in this genre.

Description

Been playing Beast Slayer – Retro 8 Bit RPG for a couple months now. It’s basically an 8-bit open-world RPG where you play as a monster hunter. The goal is to track down and defeat all sorts of crazy beasts, each with their own unique abilities. You can choose from 8 different character classes, which is pretty cool – you can make the hero of your dreams.

There’s a ton of stuff to do in this game. And you can explore the world, take on quests, level up your character, and of course, hunt down those epic boss monsters. The 8-bit soundtrack is seriously nostalgic and adds to the whole retro vibe. Plus it’s offline, so you can play anywhere without needing an internet connection.

Look, if you’re into old-school RPGs with a modern twist, you’ll probably dig this. It’s not perfect – the upgrades can take a while at higher levels – but overall it’s a really solid game that’s easy to pick up and play in short bursts.
