I've tested a bunch of these endless runner-type games and ScaleMan is one of the better ones I've tried. The controls are super simple but it still has enough challenge and strategy to keep you engaged. The graphics and animations look great and it runs smoothly even on my older phone. My only real gripe is that the progression does start to feel grindy after a while, but it's free to play so that's kind of expected. Overall though, I'd say it's a pretty fun and polished little game.

Pros

  • Addictive one-finger gameplay that's easy to pick up
  • Tons of different obstacles and gimmicks to keep it interesting
  • Competitive element with the player-vs-player stages
  • Looks and runs great on a variety of devices
  • Free to play without feeling too pay-to-win

Cons

  • Upgrades and progression can get grindy after a while
  • Ads can get annoying if you don't pay to remove them
  • Might get repetitive for some players after long sessions

Description

Been playing this ScaleMan game for a couple months now. It’s basically a casual runner where you have to adjust the size of your character to get through different obstacles. Pretty fun if you’re into these types of games.

The way it works is you just handle a slider to make your character bigger or smaller. There’s all kinds of gimmicks like cars, fences, bridges, and stacked blocks you have to get through. And you can compete against other players every 5 stages, which adds a nice competitive element.

Look, if you’re a fan of one-thumb casual games, you’ll probably like ScaleMan. It’s not perfect – the upgrades can take forever and the ads can get annoying. But overall it’s a solid time-killer that’s worth checking out.
