Been playing Crash Dive 2 for a couple months now. It’s basically a WW2 submarine simulator where you command a Gato-class sub and go around the South Pacific hunting enemy convoys. Pretty solid game if you’re into strategy and arcade action.
Here’s what you do: You sneak past the destroyer escorts, torpedo the enemy transports, and even surface to engage sub-chasers with your deck gun. When the planes come in, you’ll need to man the AA guns to shoot them down. And there’s also a full day/night cycle and weather effects – it’s a nice touch that adds to the immersion.
Look, if you’re a fan of games like Silent Hunter or Men of War, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the upgrades take forever at higher levels and it can get a bit repetitive after a while. But overall, Crash Dive 2 does a solid job of blending submarine sim with arcade action. Worth checking out.
