I’ve been playing The Program: College Football for a couple months now. It’s basically a college football management game where you take control of a team and try to build them into a powerhouse. The goal is to recruit top talent, hire the right coaches, and lead your team to a national championship.
There’s a ton of stuff you can do – you can travel around the country scouting players, hire offensive and defensive coordinators, run practices, and set game plans. It’s got a really deep system that lets you get into the nitty-gritty of college football. Takes some time to get the hang of everything but it’s pretty rewarding once you figure it all out.
Look, if you’re a college football fan, you’ll probably get a kick out of this. It’s not perfect – the progression can get a bit grindy at higher levels and the ads can be annoying if you don’t pay. But overall it’s a solid college football management sim that scratches that strategic itch.
