Here’s what you do: You get shown a photo from the past and you have to place a pin on the map to guess the location, and then pick the year it was taken. And the closer you are, the more points you earn. There’s also a daily game mode with new photos – it’s a fun way to challenge yourself.
Look, if you’re a history buff or just like tricky geography puzzles, you’ll probably get a kick out of TimeGuessr. It’s not perfect – the ads can get annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does a pretty solid job. Worth checking out.
