So here's my take on Melody Maker 3. I've tested a bunch of music apps and this one's pretty solid. The pixel art style is really nice and it runs smoothly even on my older phone. The sound selection is great and I like how you can layer multiple instruments. But I do wish the upgrade process wasn't so grindy - it takes forever to unlock new sounds at higher levels. And yeah, the ads can get old after a while. But if you're just looking for a fun way to mess around and make your own songs, this is a pretty good option.

Description

Been playing Melody Maker 3 for a couple months now. It’s basically a music creation app where you can make your own songs without any musical skills. Just select sounds, place them on the board, and hit play.

There’s a ton of different instruments and sounds to choose from, including sharps and flats. And the editing tools are pretty easy to use – took me a little while to figure it all out but now I can whip up songs pretty quickly. And you get 6 continuous boards to stitch together longer compositions.

Look, if you’re into music apps and making your own tunes, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the ads can get kind of annoying if you don’t pay for the premium version – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want an easy way to create your own music.
