I've tested a lot of puzzle games on my phone and Railbound is one of the better ones I've come across. The visual style is really charming, with those cute dog characters, and the music's super chill too. And the puzzles are challenging but not so hard that you wanna rage quit. Took me a while to get the hang of some of the track-bending mechanics, but once you figure it out, it's satisfying to plan out the perfect route. Sure, it can get repetitive after a long play session, and the ads are kinda annoying, but this is a pretty polished little game that's worth downloading if you're a fan of the genre.

Description

I’ve been playing Railbound for a couple months now. It’s basically a chill track-bending puzzle game where you help a pair of dogs on a train journey. The goal is to connect and reroute the railways so the train cars can safely reach their destinations. Sounds simple, but there are over 240 puzzles that really get your brain working.

There’s a bunch of different mechanics to play with – you can use tunnels to cover long distances, and you’ve gotta be careful not to make the trains crash into each other. The puzzles start off pretty gentle but they get more twisted and tricky as you progress. Definitely feels satisfying when you finally figure out the right track layout.

Look, if you’re into relaxing puzzle games, you’ll probably enjoy Railbound. It’s not perfect – some of the harder levels can get kinda frustrating – but overall it’s a pretty solid experience. Worth checking out if you want something to casually play on your commute or before bed.
