I've tested a bunch of mobile strategy games and Throne: Kingdom at War is one of the better ones I've played. The graphics and presentation are top-notch, with an authentic medieval vibe. The gameplay loop of building up your village, training troops, and battling other players is really addictive. In my experience, the strategy elements are deep enough to keep you engaged, but it doesn't get overly complex or overwhelming. The clan battles are the real highlight - coordinating attacks with your guild is a blast. My main gripe is that the upgrade/build times get a little ridiculous at higher levels, which can slow your progress. But if you're patient and don't mind the occasional ad, this is a pretty darn good free-to-play strategy game.

Pros

  • Tons of strategic depth without being overwhelming
  • Graphics look great and run smooth even on older phones
  • Free to play, don't need to spend money to enjoy it
  • Clan battles are a blast if you've got a group to play with
  • Hero characters and quests add some variety to the gameplay

Cons

  • Upgrades take forever at higher levels, can get really grindy
  • Gets a bit repetitive after playing for a while
  • Ads can be annoying if you don't pay to remove them
  • Might be daunting for new players with all the different systems

Description

Been playing Throne: Kingdom at War for a couple months now. It’s basically a medieval strategy game where you build up your village, train an army, and battle against other players online. Looks pretty good and has some solid gameplay.

The main things you do are gather resources, upgrade your buildings and troops, and then join a clan to take on other clans in big battles. There’s also a cool feature where you can send out hero characters to go on quests and bring back loot. It’s got a ton of depth to the strategy if you’re into that.

Look, if you’re into games like this, you’ll probably dig Throne. It’s not perfect – can get a bit repetitive after a while and the upgrade timers get pretty ridiculous at higher levels. But overall it’s a pretty solid medieval strategy game that’s worth checking out, especially if you’ve got a clan of friends to play with.
