So here's my honest take on Sky Tonight - Star Gazer Guide. I've tested a bunch of astronomy apps and this one's pretty solid. The database of celestial objects is super impressive and it's great that it works offline too. And the AR feature is really cool and makes it easy to identify stuff in the sky. On the downside, the app can get a little overwhelming with all the info and options. And I wish the UI was a bit more polished and intuitive. But overall, it's a great free option if you want to get into stargazing.

Description

Been using Sky Tonight – Star Gazer Guide for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that helps you explore the night sky. You can see stars, planets, constellations, satellites, and even get alerts for things like meteor showers. And pretty solid if you’re into stargazing and astronomy.

Here’s what you do: you can search for specific objects, get info on what’s up in the sky tonight, and there’s a cool augmented reality feature that lets you point your phone at the sky and it’ll identify what you’re looking at. It’s got a ton of info but it’s not too complicated to use.

Look, if you’re into stargazing, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the UI could be a little more intuitive – but overall it does the job of helping you explore the night sky. Worth checking out if you want a free, comprehensive astronomy guide.
