So here's my honest take on LibriVox Audio Books. I've tested a bunch of audiobook apps and this one's definitely one of the better ones. The huge catalog of free books is the big draw, and the app makes it easy to find what you want. And the sleep timer and bookmarking are nice touches too. Only downside is the interface could be a bit more polished, but it's not a dealbreaker. If you like listening to audiobooks, this is a great free option.

Pros

  • Massive catalog of free audiobooks and recordings
  • Sleep timer and bookmarking features are super handy
  • Easy to browse, search, and start listening to anything
  • Completely free to use, no subscriptions or purchases needed

Cons

  • Interface is a little basic and could use some work
  • Doesn't have the most modern or slick design
  • Occasional bugs or crashes, though not super common

Description

Been using LibriVox Audio Books for a couple months now. It’s basically a free app that gives you access to thousands of classic audiobooks and other public domain recordings. Pretty solid if you’re into listening to books on the go.

Here’s what you do – you can browse through the massive catalog, search for specific titles or authors, and just start listening to any book you want. And there’s also a sleep timer feature which is pretty cool. And you can even bookmark your place in books and pick up where you left off.

Look, if you’re an audiobook fan, you’ll probably really like this. It’s not perfect – the interface can be a little clunky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want to explore some classic literature or just have something to listen to on your commute.

It's great that the audios are no charge - appreciate there is such a service. I'm currently listening to a book from the 1800s and no other service seemed to...

I had this before but it quit working so I had to reinstall and I did lose my purchased books. But I'd had them awhile and had listened several times...
