Been using Facebook Lite for a couple months now. It’s basically a stripped-down version of the regular Facebook app, but it still lets you connect with friends, share posts and photos, and join groups. Seems to work pretty well, even on older phones or spotty internet connections.
The main stuff you can do is post updates, like and comment on your friends’ posts, and share your own photos and memes. There’s also an events feature where you can see what’s going on in your local area and make plans to meet up with people. It’s got all the basic Facebook functionality, just in a more lightweight package.
Look, if you’re a casual Facebook user and want something that’s not gonna hog all your storage or data, this is worth checking out. It’s not perfect – the interface is a bit basic and there are still some ads – but overall it gets the job done. Personally, I prefer it to the regular app.
