So here's my honest take on Pose Tool 3D. I've tested a bunch of posing apps and this one's up there with the best. The flexibility to create any kind of pose, realistic or super stylized, is really impressive. And the 3D models look great, way better than the flat 2D stuff you find in a lot of other apps. The only real downside is it can take some time to get the hang of the controls, but once you do it's pretty intuitive. Overall, if you need a go-to posing tool, this is one I'd definitely recommend.

Pros

  • Tons of flexibility to create all kinds of poses
  • 3D models look fantastic and really help with drawing references
  • Free to download and use the basic features
  • Saves your favorite poses for easy access later
  • Works great for drawing, illustration, animation, and more

Cons

  • Can be a little tricky to figure out all the controls at first
  • Some of the more advanced features are locked behind a paywall
  • Doesn't have a huge library of pre-made poses to choose from

Description

Been using Pose Tool 3D for a couple months now. It’s basically a 3D figure posing app that lets you create all kinds of character poses, from realistic to totally extreme. Pretty solid app if you’re into drawing, illustration, animation, or anything like that.

Here’s what you do: you can pose both male and female 3D models in the app, and there’s no constraints on the figures so you can really get creative with the poses. There’s also a bunch of different camera views to help you get the right angle. And the best part is you can save your favorite poses to use as references later.

Look, if you’re an artist who needs a versatile posing tool, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a little clunky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out, especially if you’re tired of using the same old boring stock photos.
