So here's my honest take on 2nd Phone Number: Text & Call. I've tested a bunch of privacy and communication apps and this one's pretty solid. And the ability to get a second number from different countries is super useful, and the features like voicemail and call blocking work well. But it does have its issues - the free version is ad-supported which can get old, and the UI isn't the most intuitive. Overall though, I'd say it's a great option if you want an extra phone number for personal use.

Cons

  • The ads in the free version can get annoying
  • The UI takes some getting used to
  • Certain advanced features are only available in the paid version

Description

Been using 2nd Phone Number: Text & Call for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you get a second phone number for calling and texting. Pretty solid if you’re into keeping your personal number private.

Here’s what you do: you can choose from a bunch of different country codes to get your 2nd number. And there’s also features like voicemail, auto-reply, and call forwarding – took me a while to figure some of that out but it’s pretty useful. And you can use this number for signing up to sketchy websites or dating apps instead of your real number.

Look, if you’re looking for a way to add a layer of privacy to your life, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the ads can be annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if that’s something you need.

Frankly it's a decent app. Not the best not the worst. But quite straight forward and no frills. Mostly dependable. Could be some different policies and stronger call quality would...

I love this app, but it's getting annoying... First off, and this is really important for a text/call app, the ring and notification tones don't work at all. My volume...
