The app *used* to be good, and do the things that I needed: Navigate, show me a reasonably accurate set of gas prices, and that's it. Suddenly, the app now is spewing out notifications for all the wonderful things AAA could be doing for me (that I don't give a rat's about). And there is no way to turn those notifications off. So bye-bye app. Some marketing guy browbeat the software engineers into making the app worse.

Still has few bugs that can be improved. For example, for today's journey I had kept my phone lying in the car while I was driving. I usually keep it in my pocket. The record journey said I was mobile distracted and reduced my score significantly. Also one improvement they can make is to add an option of 'I was hands free'.
We have been using AAA Drive for a couple of weeks. We have noticed that the app scores our driving much lower in the city. It also seems like road conditions, such as potholes, bumpy roads, etc. affect the score. It is an inconvenience to have to think of pausing the app. Twice I forgot to do this and scored 20 points lower because I used my cell phone as a passenger. I'm almost thinking the stress of using it outweighs the discount. Also it's somewhat of a creepy concept truthfully.
This app is horrible for monitoring driving habits. My phone is always tucked away while driving yet I always score very low for mobile distraction(doesn't matter if my phone is connected to blue tooth or not). It is also impossible to get a high score on smooth driving when you do mostly city driving. If rates are going to be affected by these scores you really need to step up your monitoring abilities.
Not a huge fan because the app loops and I've had to go out and come back several times. Also the calendars to select your date and time don't work. I had to type in my dates and select my time. And on another page I had to choose the correct times for pickup and departure again. I find it to be time consuming and redundant compared to other apps like Expedia. I think would do better using my laptop to go to the website.
Good luck trying to book a hotel. A lot of times after you select at the end "book room" it shows you an error information. Then you have to enter your whole information over and over again. Tried several times. Didn't work. Updated the app to see if this fixes the error and now I can't even sign in anymore. Had to go to the website where I also tried booking the room 3 times and finally the next morning, when I tried again it worked. Still cannot sign into the app.
Can't log in! And I was logged in a couple of weeks ago! Useless when you can't connect to services you paid for. I get "Welcome guest!" And when I click on Login, I get a message half off the screen asking me to verify my ZIP and to accept their privacy policy. I do that and get taken right back to the main screen! Wash, rinse, repeat! ,ZIP Code is 81022.
Your app is totally useless; as is your website. Your site and app ALWAYS say that they're "unable to process your request" when I just want to upgrade my payment method, or check my account. And again, there's no indication as to how much I'm paying which is the number one thing I'm trying to figure out. I'm pretty close to just cancelling this dumbass service.
An app I can't register for and sign into. Awesome job! So I have to input my member number to register. Got it. Makes sense. I try to input my member number with spaces and there aren't enough characters available in the box to do so. I input my member number without spaces and tell me it's an unrecognized membership number format. So.....no way to actually register and login and register as a member. APP UNINSTALLED.
This app SUCKS. The time given never matches the time the actual technician shows up. It's like their systems are not connected at all. You need to improve this app's accuracy big time. People are waiting for literally 3+ hours when your app tells them that the technician will be there in half an hour. What are we paying for?? Your customer service is horrible...I have waited 12+ hours for a tow without any word. I'm thinking of cancelling my 30+ year membership.
App is completely unusable. Unable to log in to my account. Unable to register for a new account (just says working... for several hours until I just finally give up). Can't rate any other part of the app, because I can't even get started. You would think for a premier account that they could provide a working usable app to support! Terrible. ZERO STARS.
After trying so many different ways to log onto the app, the error message is the same every time, "The details used to login do not appear to be associated with a valid membership". Checking on the AAA website, my membership is very valid, as well it should be for how much I'm paying. Im not recommending this App to anyone, cause it doesn't appear to work.
Worthless. All the options are there but none of them work. Using Samsung S22 ultra, can't update payment information, account information. The boxes are there, can't change the information in them. Then went into a lagging continuous loop of redirection just trying to make a payment. Once I finally got there, couldn't update the card information. I could change the name and expiration date, but not the type or number. Uninstalling.
Quickly disappointed. Was tired of navigating the web browser version to pay my bills and thought this would make it less of a hassle. However, every time I click on "Bill payment" or "manage my policy", it gets stuck into a never ending load that goes nowhere. Uninstalling and just going to deal with the inconvenient route since at least I know that works.
Like most users are commenting, I am unable to use the app after updating. Can't record journeys, request roadside assistance, etc. App automatically closes when I try to open it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it numerous times. I have cleared my cache and cookies, and it still doesn't work. I use the drive safe program to lower my insurance premiums, but how is that going to happen if the app doesn't record the journeys. Hopefully, there will be another update to fix these issues.
Used to be great, unusable now. When I go to try and see my benefits, it prompts me to update my personal information. Every. Single. Time. If I update the information again, it takes me back to the main menu. If I hit cancel, takes me back to the main menu. It I hit the back arrow, main menu. Also now for some reason, I can no longer see the additional members on my account. so I can't see their member numbers, can't see my benefits, can't use the app for anything it's intended to do.
Extremely laggy, buffers, when trying to select a time for a car rental pick-up and drop-off the dial keeps rolling and I cannot select a precise time. the app also keeps telling me they cannot verify my membership despite me being logged in and being an active member. Overall, the app is very glitchy and it needs to be simplified for ease your use, the user should be allowed to use the keyboard.
Update: continues to not be helpful when needed - locks up, can't find feature. Just call its faster and easier, once you convince the system to stop texting you. Needed to call for a jump and decided to try the app. After login I thought that requesting assistance would be prominent function of the app; I recall finding it stuck in a corner somewhere. Then the feature didn't work. I called there was a 3 minute wait.
It works very well for roadside assistance which is why I gave it 2 stars and not 1, but if I try to log in to my actual account (e.g. to renew insurance), it always says that an error occurred, unauthorized with a number, and an error code, which changes every time. This was after reinstalling the app. Before uninstalling and reinstalling, I couldn't even get to the login screen. Also, there's no way to find help with the user ID. I had to Google it (wasn't sure if it was my email or policy #)
They are very quick to contact you (& repeatedly) to get you to buy a policy. It's impossible to get anyone to return an email if you're having issues setting up online account or viewing documents. Also, the rate they offer over the phone for car insurance is much higher than the quote you get online or with any other company & they cant explain why. I think it's a rip off they only offer 5 free miles of yowing with basic plan. Every other company offers 10 free miles. Cant find policy on app.
