Works, and I like how it shows nice and clear that the part is an exact fit for the car. I didn't enjoy scrolling and scrolling to see the weekly offers, though. I didn't see the offer when I looked up the part, but I had to go to the "deals" page and scroll all the way down. Also, the hours for the store I went to pick up were wrong on the app, but right on google maps. I took a trip in vain because of this.

No matter the vehicle selected, or if I'm signed in or not, if I search for any part, bundle, tool, or the like the search takes forever and says that 0 results were found. The most recent update has bricked the app and made it a literal waste of space on my phone. Until the issue is resolved use the vastly more reliable website, and avoid the waste of time that is this app.
Placed a same day delivery, wasn't delivered within 24 hours. Called to find out where it was, since the app stated it had been picked up. The store said the order was still waiting pickup, and the store employee called their customer service who stated they had no record of the order. There's a bug here, but most of all, an employee should have notified me of the issue when a same day delivery order is still at the store the next day. And it's impossible to get my mil discount on the app.
Easy to use and enter vehicle details. Allows searching for multiple selections (direct fit, universal, brand specific). Great customer experience. In response to the developer, to get 5*, I'd have to say more of the refurb (rebuilt) part availability, sometimes that's the budget some of us customers are working with and that would save me from having to go search the salvage yards just to get parts a little cheaper than brand new..
Need better way to change stores when your preferred store is out of stock. I had to reselect the items and indicate that I wanted to pick it up at a different location. then I had to go back into my shopping cart and remove the items that were in there that were still pointing to the store that had them out of stock. you're very cumbersome and can be dangerous way of doing this. you could accidentally order more items than you intended. Advanced Auto needs to take a look at the app and fix it.
overall, it is a good app to check for parts and order. I would like to be able to add more vehicles to my garage, access manuals / diagrams. Also, speed perks have become more difficult to acquire in my opinion. Still, not many bugs on this & mostly accurate on the online inventory of parts (if the app says "in stock" more times than not, it will be at the store)
I love the Speed Perks rewards!!! They have saved me so much money since I signed up and registered in the app. The coupons are very helpful and have saved me a great deal of money as well. The garage feature makes it easy to switch between multiple vehicles. If you service your own cars, you cannot, not save money shopping whit Advance!!
Pretty good, with a few annoyances. Mainly you have to login every single time (and you have to go out of your way to do it), and it doesn't store credit cards or hint to android to use a saved card--so every purchase you have to enter it again. Outside of that it's pretty good--search is painfully slow but that's the same on the website, so I wouldn't fault the app.
The only way to buy the parts you need. Countess times I've been into the store only to get sold the wrong part, or told that what I want doesn't exist in their inventory options. Low and behold, when I use this app to make my purchase, all those errors stopped. don't waste your time dealing with useless countermen that don't have a clue what you're talking about. Just buy online, pick up in the store and save yourself hours of headache and wasted time/gas.
As others have stated, the app is very slow; about ten seconds for anything to load. But it's gotten worse than that. Many buttons don't work anymore: edit store, edit payments, etc. Right this minute I'm trying to order two parts for pickup. Both are available at a nearby store but I am unable to change the pickup location of one part at my main store, which doesn't have the other in stock. So if I want to use the app (and use an online discount code) I have to go to both locations.
I can usually find good deals on the parts I need. promo codes work most of the time, but in the fine print usually don't apply to the parts I need. I stand corrected, as an elite member, which I am, I can apply more than 1 speed perk reward/order. I was not aware there was a dash board to control that in the app. This is a much better experience than buying from the "zone".
I've been using Advance auto parts for years. Even before cell phones and apps were a thing and I love the store but this app sucks. Incredibly slow to open to the point of being unusable. From the reviews, a lot of people are having the same issue. The developers reply are almost always, insinuating the phones or wifi are the problem. I have a brand new Galaxy S25 ultra and I can assure you none of the other apps I use have this issue. Get it together man.🤦🏼♂️
Frustrating. I literally install the app to combine speed perks, then uninstall it. If you follow a link, app automatically opens and hangs for 10 seconds. Come on guys. Great store, app is slow. Additionally, your Google search results will display a searched part, let's say a starter. Returned result is usually with a low price. When link is clicked, takes you to a completely different part, with an exorbitantly higher price. Feels Deceptive.
How can such a large company have such a horrible app. it's to the point whenever I see results on Google searches and Advanced Auto has results, I literally shake my head and keep looking for any other option before having to click on the link. it takes 10 to 15 seconds to open, and a majority of the time, it's bait and switch. Whatever was advertised on the Google search, either doesn't fit what was searched, or the price is very different.
In all my years of being a DIY light auto maintenance, i.e., oil changes, filter changes, wiper blades, bulbs, etc, etc, Advanced Auto has been my go-to place. The added benefit of the Advanced Auto App & Speed Perks program just adds to my Loyalty Factor. Finally, the Advanced Team members are always available to assist with questions/suggestions I may have whether via phone or visit.
Love the app, and love the store. I have at least 2 of each of the competitors' stores closer to my house than the nearest Advance and I will still always make the drive across town to Advance. I love that I can input my VIN into the app, and it automatically filters my results to the parts that fit my car. As a full time Uber driver, I am always needing maintenance stuff, and the rewards is always helpful in keeping expenses down, and its easy to reach the levels needed for redemption.
This app runs so slow to the point it is so frustrating to use. It's actually easier to just call the store and that way you can also confirm the store has the part since the app has been inaccurate many of the times I've actually had the patience to use it. Update: So they continue to make excuses and blame the phone/network/user for their failure. When ALL other apps and services work and NUMEROUS others have reported the same issue, you would think they would get a clue.
I love Advance! I have two stores close to my house, so if the one across the street doesn't have what I need I usually only have to drive 5 minutes to get to one that does. Their app is easy to use for placing in store pickup orders, and my parts are almost always ready within 30 minutes, which is great when I run into an unforeseen issue while completing a major repair. They also offer same day delivery in case my only car is in pieces! Great store, great deals, great selection, A+++
The store is great. Their app not so much. If I don't sign out of my profile every single time that I use the app the next time I open it it just says ugh cuz this is frustrating. We're experiencing problems on our end. I then have to uninstall the app and reinstall it to be able to use it. It's been this way for 2 years now. I've called to report it still 2 years later. Still the same problem every single time
App takes forever to open either from clicking on the app directly or from a Google search and clicking on the part. I can't stand using Advance Auto Parts due to that. Follow up to reply. It's happened on all phones I've had over the last few years, phone service is not the issue weather wifi or network. It happens all the time and none of my other apps have the issue. My friends have the same slow opening on their phones also.
