they're good, not always reliable and be prepared to pay 125 fee for any service. but its ok

Submitting this request was easier than making an online order from a big box store. Video chat works like a charm!

app doesn't open past login. it just clears everything out after hitting login. had to just go to the website.

I've had great service with AHS, I wish they had more vendors than what they currently have because my area is pretty rural but they were awesome in diagnosing and fixing my AC when other people just wanted to replace it which would cost over $13,000. they fixed it by replacing a $15 part and then recharged it. fantastic work.

I was talked into this home warranty thru American Home Shield... was told that if anything goes wrong, it would be a $125 service fee, and that would be it... so mid summer, my AC goes out ... I call pay the $125 service fee... then it took 12 days just to get a service appointment... they want to blame the company they hired to do the service... I did pay that company i paid American Home Shield but cared not about my situation, I wouldn't use Everyday heating and cooling either... extra $120

I love the ease and stress free otion to schedule a tech to come out or video with one to try and troubleshoot an issue.

First time use of AHS and they FAILED! AHS used unqualified contractor to troubleshoot electrical issue. AHS's contractor was unable to complete the troubleshoot or identify the problem so I had to hire a real electrician and pay out of pocket! I'm only giving them two stars and one more chance to redeem themselves. Check back soon for updated review....

I can not believe it took me all of maybe 5 minutes to schedule a repair for 4 separate appliances in my home. After a death in our family, I've put this off thinking it would take too much time to get it scheduled. I'm in shock because it was so simple. I don't think anyone has a service that makes life this simple. LIKE I SAID, I AM SHOCKED! AND EXCITED. I still have time to go out to dinner.

I was a realtor years ago, so when it was time for me to move, I chose the best home warranty plan available - AHS. The sellers refused to include it in my purchase, but I went ahead and got the plan for myself anyway, and so glad I did. You never know what can go wrong, especially in the first year of a new-to-you home. AHS is quick to reply, reliable and partners with great trades people.

No issues with the app, however the company has progressively gone down hill. In the last 11 days alone I have spent 10hrs on the phone with American Home Shield trying to get my dishwasher fixed or replaced. Nothing but excuses and false promises from AHS, be wary of your billing as well. They jacked my price up to $121/month after being with them for 4 yrs! Companies wonder why customers aren't loyal anymore....

They Pay For Nothing and Ignore Customers. I filed and electric claim and it said they pay for wiring but they are saying I have to pay $750 on top of the $125 I already paid. I tried chatting with customer service twice and both times they just disconnected without a word. EDIT to add that a supervisor never called me after 24 hours saying they would. Another escalation team member called and said they do pay for wiring as the contract states but not new wiring.

I've had really great success with this company, they came out and fixed a smoking light fixture, a broken outdoor faucet, we had them come fix our dryer and we even had successful service with our furnace! the amazing thing is a new furnace can cost anywhere from 5k to 9k, and for my deductible which is $100, if they can't fix it, they replace it! so they fixed it and like i said, we've had great success and the peace of mind is something ill never go without. thanks guys and God bless!

Make sure you notify AHS first and create a work order before you call any professional contractors. Otherwise you will be paying out of your own pocket whatever service you needed. That's the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5. It was explained to me wrong when I bought the warranty and I had to pay for a plumber out of my own pocket. AHS made the experience right by offering some perks for their mistake, but good customer service.

Best investment I've ever made. For such a small price per month, I've saved thousands. I'm making this review after using my warranty twice already, once for a new built-in microwave, and now for a 50 gallon, electric water heater.

This is the worst home warranty I ever had. There is no option to enter directly review for their services on the website. Zero customer service! They just hired cheap contractors to do a poor job. More like a hit and trial. There is no limit .on the tries as they come change one part or the other. They dont care if in It takes months and months to resolve a problem. They just give you pre-programmed answers. We are sorry for the inconvenience. We are working to fix the problem. Good luck!!

App is excellent! The company is not. New subscription to American Home Shieild's ShieldGold plan. Two weeks after my first payment, my central AC went out. They refused to cover components of the central air conditioning system due to "normal wear and tear", which is not listed in the "What Is Not Covered" part of the contract. Isn't that why most things fail? "Cash In Lieu Payout" was less than half. After paying $820+ my AC got fixed. The repairs were average. I have to fix what got missed.

They have been doing a pretty good job so far. The only headache is waiting for an appliance to ship. U sometimes have to call the shipping location to keep the ball moving. Other than that.... things have been good.

I had a different home Warranty for many years. This is my 1st request thru AHS & this process was so easy to complete. The service schedule was very quick, just 5 days out. I am definitely impressed. Since a video chat was done and the tech walked me thru a few things, he made notes to pass on to the repair guy. That's impressive.

if you get this company be very careful who they send over. I've had 3 different techs come for 3 different issues and either issue was not properly fixed, or they installed used parts that they had laying in their vehicle. How do I know this is saw the parts before installing and was told that it would do the job. Well after being on the phone for 2 1/2 hours AHS that they have no control over that. I paid my subscription up front for the year, they said NO REFUND on remaining 6 months.
