It doesn't even seem logical how much it works, but it does. Bilateral auditory stimulation in this app with the guided meditations can really help pull you out of, and help you prepare for, situations that cause you anxiety and other strong emotions.
Reviews for Anxiety Release based on EMDR
← Back to Anxiety Release based on EMDRMy clinical psychologist recommended this app to me to help with my PTSD and anxiety. I tried it many times starting with varying levels of anxiousness and it has been so effective for me so quickly each time. This app is worth every dollar. Thank you for creating this.
Amazing app for very deep loss.in my case. But for anyone. I heard about it from a therapist and have tried to pass on to other therapists but can't seem to be able to send a link to them from my phone...now hard to find on play store.
Doesn't work at all with my Bluetooth earphones. Seems to work without so pretty odd. Might be able to figure it out with help files but the links in the info tab don't go anywhere when I click them and there's no contaxt/bug report option
I gave this app 3 stars because after about 35 seconds it goes to the lock screen, thus preventing me from focusing on the alternating lights. This makes my anxiety worse! I checked the app's permissions and it shows "prevent phone from sleeping" as being on. I've tried uninstalling then reinstalling, but it made no difference. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S6.
This is an amazing app for use during virtual therapy sessions with a therapist! ... This app allows me to continue to use EMDR in my therapy sessions, during virtual sessions from home, due to the pandemic. ... I really enjoy the self-led functions for practice and reinforcement of anxiety-relieving behaviors, even when I am not overly stressed, as regular practice ingrains the behaviors so they become automatic in times of duress. ... I was quite relieved at the clear avoidance of faith/ideals or other topics besides simply healing from anxiety, in the sessions. Many other relaxation/calming apps speak of specific body parts (anxiety for an amputee), use religious wording (a trigger for those abused by "the faithful"), or visualization guidance that may contain phobias. This was what led me to believe that there were careful, thoughtful, conscientious mental health professionals involved in the creation of this healing tool. ... I told my therapist about this after I evaluated it's functions, and he is very excited to review it himself from a more clinical standpoint, with the intention of possibly suggesting it to his other virtual patients! ... To suggest an improvement; I would like to see a stereoscopic add-on for this app, as it would allow for distraction-free immersive VR functionality with even the most basic of headsets such as Google Cardboard, a huge boon for those of us with high distractability. I would accept this add-on as a micro-transaction within the app. I would suggest another improvement as well, buy my ideas have tangible value. ... ("..." Added to signify between paragraphs, as the review form turned my review into a difficult-to-read wall of text.
unbelievable!!But i have seen that when I do the eye movements with the alternating sounds at night before sleep, my sleep is shallow and I get up in the. middle of the night with anxiety and cannot sleep for hours. Why does this happen. Please help. Otherwise this app really tones down my anxiety
Used to be good but the visuals and the beats are constantly out of sync now, especially after you pause the track. It's driving me crazy and the app has become worthless as I can't use it like this.
Amazing app but please, please, get rid of or at least lower that guitar that comes on at the end of each session. I end each session feeling amazing then that guitar jarringly blares in my ear and undoes the relaxation. Begging the devs to edit the audio and remove or dramatically lower the guitar, I'd give 5 stars
If you feel anxious for any reason or no reason, I strongly suggest to give it a try. It helped me immensely. For that sole reason I am reviewing so as people who are anxious give it a try. Please give it a try. You might feel the freedom. Above all, given the price we pay for being anxious, comparatively the amount of money I paid for this app is almost nothing.. Considering the expertise and experience of Mark and compared with offline costs for a EMDR session, the price of the app is reasonable, in my opinion. In my phone Redmi Y1 model, I could not get 5 helpful articles under Info. Given the various phone models, it happens in very few cases. One email to Mark- Author of the App-got those 5 articles in my email in few minutes and that too on Sunday and he promised me the next update will not have that glitch. I appreciate his support. Try it.
Wow! What an amazing app and process. For those of us without reasonable access to EMDR therapists, this app is perfect. Even the guided meditations alone are the best I've come across. I hope to see some more added later. I was 100% ready to mess with this app for about 5 minutes and then hit Refund. After giving it ago, hell i would pay way more for this level of content and the result I get! Thank you a million times for this hidden gem!
The best anti anxiety app I have found and well worth the money. The EMDR does have some effect on me, but not a huge amount. However the guided meditations are the best I have use and help to drop my anxiety level down a notch or two everytime. Would recommend to anyone who struggles with high levels of anxiety.
I can't say enough positive things about this app! The bilateral tapping, along with the author's calm guiding voice, quickly and thoroughly ease my stress and anxiety levels even when they're through the roof! It's like a miracle. The app provides excellent information, guidance, direction, and several audio tracks that are deeply healing to me. It works 100x better than anything else I've tried, including guided meditations, sound therapy, ambient music, hypnosis, etc. Deep thanks to Mr Grant
So the app itself looks a little rough and to be honest I wasn't expecting much. The older I'm getting the worse my anxiety has become and after seeing the reviews I thought why not give it a try. I finally used it when I was feeling like I was heading for a panic attack and I'm honestly shocked at how different and relaxed I felt after a few minutes of a session. I've tried just breathing techniques before but they make me feel worse usually... This is incredible
Skeptical Until I Tried It... This app has helped me get over panic attacks (and anxiety attacks) in the moment they begin. It takes practice and patience but it worked for me. The guided eye movements with noise ear to ear....I know it's science...but I couldn't believe the state I was in after 5-10 minutes. This may be for you and it may not. We're all different, but as it's free, it's worth a shot. The first time I used this I was anxiety riddled on a plane and it got me through.
The thing I like most about this app? That it works! If I am feeling anxiety, I can open the app, listen to a guided release session and I will feel calmer afterward. I have done EMDR in a therapist's office, and no, this is not exactly the same. However, this is simple, easy to use, and very effective for me. If you are doing other forms of therapy and want to add this in, that's great. I also love the male's voice in the sessions, very soothing and calming.
I really like this app, I find the actual sessions really helpful, but the app starts constantly by itself! If I do a session it will then start by itself almost any time I pick up my phone! Ironically, it's causing me a lot of anxiety 🤣 I don't want to have to uninstall it, but I can deal with the constant starting by itself.
The voiceover changed from male to female and I don't know how to change it back. The bottom of the app screen is cut off by my phone's menu Only just started using this app so not sure how well it works for me yet
Thus far, does seem to lower anxiety well (only used for a few days). I do like the male voice, very calming and the BLS seems to stop attacks, at least one. The app does not give you affirmations when your anxiety doesn't go down after a session and that seems very counterproductive, as you're making the effort and should still get encouragement (this should go without saying on this type of app). Thank you for this app, I wish the calm and confident one had different material from this one.
Remarkable. I didn't expect much of this app prior to download, but I'm glad I was mistaken. My baseline anxiety has gone from a 6 (often higher) to a 3 (often lower) on a scale of 0 to 10 in the course of a few weeks. After each session I can expect a reduction of 1 or 2 points. I have even been able to record a current anxiety point of 1. I didn't think such a thing possible! Looking forward to how this app will effect my anxiety level in the months to come. Optimistic and grateful!
