I like this app it's nice to be able to just message my doctor or my son's doctor to get answers instead of calling for something quick. I recently had an issue with the app giving me an error 400 and I got help the next day after I gave my review. Very pleased with the quick help.
Reviews for athenaPatient
← Back to athenaPatientBeen with Sleep Insights on this Athena Patient Portal for at least a year now. So far everything has worked smoothly and was easy-to-use. I just wish that all of my health providers were able to be accessible on a single app. This is my fourth App !
I live on Eastern time, but my doctor is on Central time. is there a way to set the app to NOT change my appointment time shown as Eastern time? For example, I had an appointment at 10:30 central and the app showed that it was at 11:30, but did not specify that the time was for Eastern. So I missed that appointment.
it's helpful because getting test results or sending messages especially with all my health issues. it also helps so you don't have to make phone calls & go thru so many prompts being transferred to the right doctor then be put on hold sometimes is fusterating especially when your not feeling well .
can't see entire test results. I downloaded this specifically to be able to pull up test results and this only shows the very bare minimum. Interpretation unavailable. When I need to refer to these results I'll need to go through a web browser so what's the point of having this at all? Waste of memory space at this point
It's there to remind me of upcoming appointments. And I can pay my bill very easily in app also. Can't wait to get results posted, waiting for results from tests done. Very easy to find everything I need in app.
Overall and improvement of the last version. I would like to see an enhancement to the messages section as well as a Todo list that includes referrals and notes (to do) from previous appointments. The Epic health app is what you should aspire to be
App was 5 stars until it updated. Now I cannot log in via the app. It tells me "400 bad token. The id token is invalid." I have to login through the website instead of the app. ***Had to uninstall and reinstall for it to work again after the update.
I have to use multiple Medical Information Apps to send and receive messages and things like test results. All of them are very confusing and often don't work at all. This App is the best and only App that allows me to easily send and receive messages from my Doctor. All test results are posted and contain all the details of the results. It is an excellent app that deserves far more than ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!
It is very important to have notifications working. However, they do not. please fix the issue. When I receive a message it can be days to weeks before I check because I don't get notifications that I have a message.
I downloaded the app under the impression that it simplify accessing my information. This app is really just a LINK to the website as all it does is open the website in a browser. And then the website glitches, first with a loop of the log in process, then after painstakingly enduring that process, another loop of accessing my information. Tedious, nonproductive, and time consuming. Hopefully the beta version will be better.
Poor connection. Spend a good ten to fifteen minutes just waiting for appointment to reconnect. I get notifications even when the option has been turned off, receive notifications at anywhere from to to three in the morning to remind me of appointments. All the practice can say three months later is that we are working on it. Must be Cecil.
New update made this app useless. The new update has made it to where I can't log in to the app at all. Browser works fine but when I try to log in on the app i get an error message saying "something went wrong". My passwords are correct so I'm assuming this is a newly updated app issue which is unfortunate since I used the app regularly to keep track of appts for multiple family members all on one screen. I've also uninstalled and installed the app about 10 times. It's still not working.
Would be great if it consistently worked. Was able to log in today, but nothing would load. Not test results, not messages. Logged out, tried to go back in...now all I get is a message about a "hiccup" on your end when I try to log in. Tried the web site, that doesn't work either. This sort of stuff seems to happen often. It's not my internet or my phone. It's not a me problem. It's an Athenapatient problem.
Worst app. Errors out at login all the time. Have to delete to reset it to work. Massive negative impact to individual healthcare. Would give negative stars if I could. At random? Whenever an update is made to the app? On a Tuesday when it rains? Any time it wants. And if I have to delete and reinstall the app any time this happens, what's the point of notifications? I shouldn't have to delete the app every time something gets updated!
For non-emergency concerns, medical questions, refills, follow up concerns, the app is great. It lets my provider and me quickly read messages and respond at our convenience. I especially like it for those times when I am not sure whether I need to come in. I can type, "Hey, doc, it hurts when I do this," and she can reply, "I think you need to be seen," or just, "Don't do that," as appropriate.
First time using it was fine. However, when I tried to open it back up it froze, leading to me uninstalling then reinstalling it worked fine then, but I received 2 messages that never came through as notifications. I happened to be checking my email and saw that I had messages. What's the point in having an app that doesn't work compared to the web that does?
[update] while my issues may be provider related, there is no getting around this is a horrible app. The fact that you cannot roll back to an older version once installed is ridiculous. I have been installing and uninstalling apps on my home computer for decades. But my amazing smartphone I can't install an older version of an app? You developers need to go back to school and learn how to make applications. MYCHART is a great app my prev Doc used. All you need to do is emulate them! Timewaster
This app needs a lot of improvement. It's not as convenient as the others from Henry Ford or Beaumont hospitals etc. Their app is way better. You can messages, look a prescribed medication, note your visits as well, and set up different appointments for other doctors, records and so much more. I love ❤️ there's. I'm not sure who developed this app because it seems rushed to have something that isn't convenient at all.
Doesn't work & no tech support. I already have an account with Athena through my physician. I downloaded the app, opened to screen to login page, clicked, opened a second login screen where it asked for my credentials. Entered those & received "something went wrong. It looks like there was a hiccup on our end and we're unable to log you in. Please try again in a few moments". Of course it doesn't matter how long I wait, I receive the same error endlessly.
