So here's my honest take on Autism Speech and Language. I've tested a bunch of parenting and education apps, and this one's a pretty solid option if you're looking to help an autistic child develop their communication skills. And the info on gestalt language processing and echolalia is really eye-opening, and the app does a nice job of translating that into practical strategies. It's not the most polished app out there, but it gets the job done. Definitely worth trying if you need some guidance in this area.

Description

Been using Autism Speech and Language for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that helps you work on communication with autistic kids. A lot of autistic children learn language differently, and this app teaches you how to better understand and support their unique way of communicating.

There’s a bunch of great features – you can watch videos on things like echolalia and gestalt language processing, and there’s also activities and exercises you can do with your child. It’s got some good tips on how to communicate more effectively. Took me a little while to get the hang of it, but once I did, it’s been really helpful.

Look, if you’re raising an autistic kid, you’ll probably find this app super useful. It’s not perfect – there are still some things that could be improved – but overall it does a pretty good job of equipping you with the knowledge and tools to better connect with your child. Worth checking out, for sure.
