Works, but the UI is garbage. Do you even test on mainstream devices? Went to get my member ID, and the "r" from the word member was dropped down into the middle of the member ID. Trying to type to a fairly simplistic "Marty" chatbot, app doesn't accommodate a keyboard on the screen, so you can't see what you're typing.

Just HORRIBLE! Wasted hours and hours on basic tasks like editing my home address for an omission that the App made in the first place. Also, to switch states...it keeps defaulting back to my old state of residence! Other previously entered information is missing. I'm currently double paying for two memberships (and have been for seven months!) as there is supposedly no way to transfer memberships or to get a refund?! Every phone call requires being bounced around to as many as five people!

Horrible. i have to log in everytime i open the app and it always tells me I have the wrong password when its autosaved and makes me do the very lengthy process over and over and over ect. Yes I have even uninstalled and reinstalled it to no avail. not a good thing for you new members to have to go through!!! Just saying I would think customer retention would be paramount in this industry.

The app is pretty good at what it does . It is very tamper resistant . If u shut it down , it knows and demands the permission back or else u loose your discount . It's not over sensitive as some people here suggested . I can still drive 5 - 10 mph over the limit without getting demarets for speeding . It knows when u r not in the car and walking . When it detects this , it will go into battery saver mode . It's not THAT bad on battery . It requires full permissions on ur phone though.

Disconnects frequently and does not track some trips. Requires frequent updates, installation and reinstallation. Hope it is worth the effort. Surely it could be improved? I received a notification that the app has been improved. However, it did not track my driving yesterday. Sometimes it identified me as a passenger when I am driving. I can change that, but I cannot add trips. Although I am not flagged for hard breaking or speeding, my score is 80??

Day 1 member..and already regret it. I've been a member for all of 10mins. App had several errors, website also has several error. Attempted to "Change Auto Pay" and conveniently I get an error message each time saying try again later. Forcing a customer to keep Auto-Pay with constant error when they try to change it..doesn't retain the customer and make money. I will simply order a new card and discontinue service. If you have to hold your customers' payment plans hostage, you're doing it wrong

If you are here to get Onboard discount using this app, let's me tell you it probably won't work. The app registers any slow down during driving as a "hard brake" event and count it as reckless driving. You don't have to slow down a lot, just a light tap on the brake will trigger it. It seems to trigger when there is 7-8mph change in one second, so the speed of you running on foot and then stop. Doing 60mph needs 8s to stop. It is just not possible. They made it that way to increase your rates.

I used the app for the first time today, because I needed a tow and I found a bug while using it on an Android phone. Setting up the tow was very easy. However, there is an overlay banner that gives you a summary of your tow submission that I can't swipe away, which is frustrating. So, now I can't see anything about the tow truck information or look at the map. I would give it more stars if this wasn't an issue.

This app sucks!! I click to become a member and blank screen every tim. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, nothing.... the agents are just as terrible when you call. Apparently, you can only pay for a year membership at a time whenever you call a live agent. so they make you go through this ridiculous app that doesn't even work well guess what, you just lost a customer, and I'll go through Allstate Roadside Assistance.

This app makes me drive more dangerously then I would. Honestly if I get into an accident I would seriously think about filling a lawsuit against AAA. The app is too sensitive to hard braking. Driving at 45 mph, you need to take 300-400 ft to stop at a light, or it will register a hard braking event. So, if the light changes and you are closer than that, only option is to drive right through and not stop. If someone changes into your lane, a light tap registers as hard brake, so I find myself getting dangerously tailgating other cars. AAA, need to change the app. Its not doing its purpose.

Poor app, constantly disconnecting from my phone. Get notified, often while driving, that I must reconnect in order to qualify for any sort of discount. I am not disconnecting the app and obviously would be dangerous to try to reconnect to the app while driving, yet all driving episodes must be tracked for the discount. Doesn't seem fair to the consumer.

Downloaded this for the 15% discount on insurance. It is supposed to monitor driving so you can earn larger discounts at renewal. It is completely inaccurate, though. It registers numerous instances of "hard braking" on every single trip, which don't actually happen. Also, my husband and I both had to download the app since we have 2 cars. However, we ride together every day. It shows different numbers on his trip vs mine, when we're in the same car. Just a way cheat you out of the discount.

The app interferes with my using other apps even though I sitting in a parking lot or in my own house. I have to close the onboard app so I can order takeout. Also, it does not record all my trips. The app shows in my task bar as running. Finally, it seems I get penalized for NOT driving or driving short distances. I'm retired so I don't generally go out. When I do go out, my stops are less than 5 miles away. Other reviews hold similar complaints. I'm hoping for fixes in an update.

I use it for the AAA OnBoard program... if this is suggested to you GET THE PHYSICAL DEVICE INSTEAD. The location service is shotty at best, and it tracks EVERY. RIDE. This is the second most annoying part, because every time you take an uber or ride with a friend, you have to remember to log in and tell the app you weren't driving, otherwise you are penalized if their driving is poor. Especially if you are calling a cab after a late night out, because you are "driving" during unsafe hours. The worst aspect of this app is it's battery consumption, which pretty much guarantees a 10% loss in battery per charge while it is running in the background. I'm sick of it and I'm calling them tomorrow for the other option, which won't kill my battery and only tracks my driving.

If you touch your phone in pocket or move it to dash etc., this app will count it as hard stops. Happened many times for me and sometimes even count it twice at the same spot?? Really annoying and there is no way to report/feedback/appeal and the next day your score will go down. Please fix this or provide mechanisms to appeal. it's getting worse!! After about a week of no events and supposedly score should go back up but instead it went down 3 points?? Really?? Changing to 0 star!!

Horrible. I hate it. It's constantly running and draining my battery even when I'm not using it. I can't get rid of the notifications from it and even after the stupid rating is completed, it still constantly asks for my location when i open it. You don't need my location all the time! Overall, the user interface is pretty easy, but the constant running in the background, the annoying notifications, and overall bulkiness of the app on my phone's OS isn't worth the download.

This app is trash. I had an avg score of 85 for the first few months (when it was too early to get the discount), then it quickly dropped to 64 with no explanation. I have a handful of hard brakes in the past 8 months, but nothing else. My score has not moved from 64 one point in either direction in over 3 months. Another app I use for the same time period has me at an 87. They want you to drive safer, but they don't want you to save money. It helps them, not you.

Awesome experience again. I was told 1.5 hours, but they ended up calling and arrived in under an hour. It's worth every penny of you use it, and I do. I have had it for years and love it. A life saver more than once. For me, it's rare to wait more than an hour for help. Just use it for their services and discounts. Get a tow, doors unlocked, gas, or a jump.

The phone system gives you an AI rather than a human, then the AI pushes you ann app, which then in turn tells you you need to download this one that is nearly the same and wasting a bunch of data and time. My family's been members of AAA since 1954 and it's always been a pleasant experience talking with a human and having them quickly send out someone to give your battery a jump or a quick tow, but now you're annoyed wasting time with an AI phone call all they can save a few dollars.

Every time I try to make changes to my car insurance or access my policy I have problems. Most commonly the app gives an "We are sorry, but our online system is not working right now". When, every blue moon, it works and I'm able to make a change, totally mess up my policy. I have to spend days trying to get it fixed with customer service, talking to 5 or 6 people that can't figure out what's going on. This app makes me want to switch insurance companies.
