The app is great. The company themselves, well the interest is very high. After paying on time for over 24 months, not only did my interest not go down, it actually went up! I'm working on paying this thing off early so that they get as little money as possible. I do not recommend this company. If you need credit, check you financial institution first.

The new design isn't working well. Transactions are WAY more important than payments yet payments are the main screen. The balance and available credit aren't accurate. You have the click on the balance for it to update to the current amount. NOT HAPPY AT ALL. This design makes no sense. I'm worried about fraud. I'm pretty sure who is making payments.

I'm canceling this account. It was a stepping stone to better credit. This is the iPhone of credit cards. Any changes, you have to call in. You have zero flexibility on the app. Basically, it's a trap for people with challenged credit, but if you use it properly, better opportunities will come across. I now have cards with much higher limits, no annual or monthly fees, and control of my account with their apps. I rates it 2-stars out of kindness because I did use it to attract other offers.

The card and account were great up until a week ago. No annual fee will now go to 8.99 a month for no reason other than wanting to make extra money. I use the card, sometimes I keep a balance, other months it's paid to -0-. I've never been late with any payments, and it's always at least a week before. No worries. I'll be closing the account before I pay a monthly or annual fee. The credit limit decrease will drop my score a few points, but I'll make that up with an increase to my Chase card.

I've had their card for about a year now. Zero annual fee, ok APR, until a recent email I received. The terms of use have changed. APR bumping up to 36% and an annual fee now of, get this, $107.88! billed monthy at $8.99. This is insane, I've NEVER been late on a payment, and actually pay it off in full every month. I called to complain, they referred me to send an email. They're answer was basically It is what it is, out of their hands. Guess this account is getting closed, bait and switch.

after over a year of making payments on time or early and much more than the minimum amount due, these money grubbers changed the terms on my account by adding a few of $8.99 PER MONTH, in addition to their exorbitant interest rate! Needless to say, I am cancelling the card and closing the account and will pay it off on my next payday! let's see how many other customers they lose over this abuse of power! Good bye and Good riddance!

Great! if you're just starting out but beyond the first year, it's more of a burden. you get charged $5 a month whether you use the card or not in addition to the annual fee. there is no credit limit increases. customer service is all foreign and hard to understand. you have to provide a reason you want to request a waiver and wait 2 days for it to possibly be approved. you have to jump through hoops to verify anything for any changes. after the first year it does absolutely nothing for you

Horrible credit card. This company has the highest interest rate I have ever seen. Besides that, they have no app, no support except a FAQs section. if you have a dispute, you have to write to them and mail your letter to their hq. I find it hard to believe that a company that charges so many hidden fees, and an overwhelming interest rate cannot get on fiver and have an app built. I would definitely look at other cc's before signing onto these guys.

This is the Worst credit card I've ever had. Last month I made a payment on the due date at 5:30 PM they notified me it was a late payment and charged me a late fee. Their customer service is a joke. They're in India, they have a very difficult time speaking or understanding English. If you have an issue, good luck. I've cancelled this card.

I was Pre Approved for a card with a certain credit limit, after applying i was approved but with a lesser limit(the minimum). At that time, I spoke with someone saying that I was DECLINING THE APPROVAL, at which point I thought this was over. BUT NO! They still opened an account, with a hard inquiry, and after 3 calls, finally closed my account, only problem is that I now have a NEW Hard Inquiry + Young Account + Closed Account on my credit report that I have been working on.

i used the automated to pay last month and it said it couldn't take my payment. Then It switched me to operator who took my payment. Then the next day it showed up both came out. they were supposed to put it back it will take 5 days, then it didn't and a supervisor wasn't available for 24-48 hours. they caused me 78.00 in overdraft fees and still never called me back. THEY SUCK! Stay away unless you can afford problems like this and "NO" customer service. Still haven't called. 40 days later

I have had the Avant card for a couple of years now but have yet to receive any credit limit increases, although my credit rating has now graduated into the good credit range, which funny enough has allowed me to be on the receiving end of several significant credit limit increases from many credit card providers other than Avant. In closing, the Avant card isn't for anyone serious about rebuilding credit but rather for those who can't get credit at all, as in, the absolute worst of the worst.

I have never had an issue making a payment with them. Just a tidbit, your first loan interest rate may be kinda high but I do recommend them to build credit and if you decide to refinance or get another after the current loan is paid off, it is feasible to aquire a lower interest rate through them if needed. Just make your payments on time and try to make more than the minimum if possible. The app is great for keeping track of the loan. again, never had an issue.

I actually enjoy the credit card. They are helping me to build good credit back up. They were one of very few that accepted me even with the horrible credit I was gifted in my divorce. But the app is a different story.. Super behind and takes forever to register any information. If it weren't for the lagginess of the app itself, I'd give at least 4 stars

App randomly decides my saved password doesn't work. It happens at least once a week. I don't change the password. Eventually it works. App devs keep changing the in-app URL the credentials are entered on, which confuses apps like LastPass, adding in extra steps for users. Otherwise a flawless interface design and functionality. If you can access it.

Avant and app are terrible. You can't log into the app without a browser first. You can't adjust the autopay without manually changing every payment by hand. You can't make a payment without it automatically adjusting the next one. I'm certain it's because Avant has a shady practice of holding x-% of the loan, and ONLY giving it back if you pay off the loan before maturity, so they make it some ridiculous circus act when you want to make payments that are more than the minimum amount.

Fast & easy to get card. It was offered to me on NerdWallet or whatever...it said "outstanding" chance to get it...took 2 mins & the card came about 5 days later. it's not a very large credit amount like my regular cards from my bank & Discover/Amex but it helps boost your rating either way, even if you barely use it. The % rate is horrible so I wouldn't carry a balance very long but if you can pay the bill off on time it's worth getting or if you're trying to rebuild credit it seems OK.

quite honestly one of the very best cards I carry, low APR, they don't bug you, if you pay on time, all the time, They have always increased my limits far beyond what other cards will do. their app is ALWAYS simple and on point, I can't think of one problem or issue that needs attention. Avant is the one card that I would recommend to anyone building credit, or, someone with decent credit (me 690) that needs a higher limit (mine over2k) Avant credit card will help you get their!!

Just about every time I've tried to use my card it gets declined. Last time was $699 tire purchase which was already installed on my car. That's with a zero balance on a $1000 credit limit card. Thank God I had my bank card with me or I'd have been really screwed. Bout all this card does for me is showing $1000 credit limit with zero balance. Other than that it really is useless.

I am having difficulty accessing information on my account, specifically regarding transaction details and pending charges. Some transactions from May, for example, are still listed as pending. Additionally, I have trouble navigating the account interface as I cannot scroll continuously to view information chronologically; I must jump from month to month.
