The links are constantly broken, so if I want to find an in network provider I get "404 page not found", and same with viewing my claims or many of the other basic functions. It also doesn't save my password or allow fingerprint unlocking, and once you use a password you can't reuse it for the next 24 password changes, so good luck getting in without resetting your password every time.

Then it will eventually say "BCBS keeps stopping" and gives me the option to wait or close the app. If I try to login with a password, it says cannot find and threatens to lock me out. This app went from priceless to worthless.
The app is helpful, but I can't access toggles on the app that I would like. Cost estimator and find a doctor crash every time. I'd like to know what I'll likely pay, but the current state of healthcare doesn't make that easy. I enjoyed talking to someone on the phone, but the online option helps. Otherwise, the system says you should know about your healthcare costs while making it difficult to discover.
This app doesn't work at all. Initially it would take my credentials and just not do anything, despite being updated. Eventually I did a total reinstall and it worked for a few weeks. Then without warning I started getting a "Your account is not permitted access" error message. I did not change any account settings. My only guess is an update broke it. I reinstalled again, still got the same error message. Just use the website.
Since the last update the app does not work. Called Blue Cross Blue Shield they're not able to resolve the problem. Tried multiple times and all I kept getting from them was that they were doing updates on the app and they be fixing the problem, but to no resolve. It's been almost 6 months and I still can't log on the app anymore. All I get is error error try again later. And when I call customer service I get the same reply.
App provides an id card. Everything else either doesn't work or is missing. Searching for a provider always results in an error. Deductibles, max out of pocket, and other information is not available. Money spent towards these are not shown either. Co-pay costs show up on the member I'd card. The spent page is completely blank. I suspect this is where the coverage limits and costs should show up.
Update - gave up registering on the mobile app, did it just fine on the website and was able to login to the app no problem. Don't fight the app to register, just do it on the website and save yourself the stress caused by the health app 🤪. Unable to even register, throws "an error occurred, come back later or try again". Tried multiple times, on and off wifi, scanned and manually entered.
I'm not sure what the issue is, but it appears (like many others that have left reviews) that I am unable to login because of a bug or some sort of old maintenance notification that has not yet been cleared. Specifically, the error I'm receiving is "looks like we've encountered an error. This can be due to poor connectivity or an issue on our servers." For troubleshooting purposes, I'm attempting to utilize both the biometric and password to log in but both circumstances lead to the above error
To log in to the app, you have to read and accept the privacy policy and terms of service, etc, which is usually straightforward and standard. Whoever released the app left the terms and conditions in HTML form. I wish I could attach a screenshot. It's got as many //:nredirect(ifalpha=n)/
Useless app! Can't change your address, can't look up a local approved doctor for your plan ("Something went wrong. We are currently having difficulty connecting to Provider Finder"). Can't even look up your monthly premium payment amount. Basically you have to call them and talk to one of their incompetent representatives that aren't even located on the same side of the globe!
Garbage! This app was pretty user friendly before the update. I can't even locate my deductible anymore, just total out of pocket. Navigating the app is a PITA and that's only when I'm able to log on. Constantly getting an error which says "we can't access your information right now" forcing me to use the website which works fine. DEVELOPERS... How can I reinstall the previous version? The layout and navigation was way better.
The BCBSTX mobile Android app is only good for seeing your account. It is useless, really, whenever making premium payments. The app offers NO availability to make premium payments. Instead, you must go through a web browser to make payments. Why have the app without this payment feature? To make a payment either call in, and wait half an hour, or use a desktop browser and have all features but making payments. Don't bother with the app.
BCBSTX App is terrible! I set up Biometrics login, and it gives an error every single time. I have to type in the password instead; so frustrating to have to do that when the app is giving you the biometrics option. Chat in Contact US doesn't work, EVER, and can only be accessed in-app! I always get the error "Something went wrong". I can't access Actual Policy documents in the app. They're not listed anywhere. Who wants to carry a 100+page booklet around? This app is not convenient at all!
I don't review apps but this one is truly pathetic. I cannot even log in, it always gives me an error message AFTER I go through all the extra security steps such as getting a pass code from text.. It's always an error right as I should be logged in saying it can't load and to try again later. I try again and wouldn't you know it, my account is locked due to too many failed sign-in attempts. cool. I reset my password, I confirmed my username with "forgot username" and it made no difference..
App is not reliable. Opens browser to log in. It has a lot of network error and then again later. This makes it difficult to find anything. From looking up a doctor, to basic information like your member card/pharmacy information. Even can't create a pass key even though it encourages to you to set one up. Same network error and try again. The website is ok but the information is scattered and not organized very well. Database isn't updated to find a PCP.
For the last several days in both app and on website, the security center brings up a big red error box: "We're sorry, we couldn't complete your request due to a network error. Please try again later." Pleas fix. I am unable to register my devices with the website. Thus, they cannot be designated a trusted device in the system.
used to be better. the new version doesn't let you log in with finger print. it also takes a lot longer to load. my wellness features never load. it's harder to navigate than before. not sure why they pushed this version and digital only is cards. it kinda sucks. also you can't copy and paste your id number and screen shot is disabled. I was able to get around the screenshot pretty easy but it was super helpful when filling out forms to be able to copy and paste my id number. very annoying.
This app has changed a lot in recent years - for the worse! There used to be 2 obvious bars on the front page, showing how close you were to reaching your deductible and your out of pocket maximum. Not anymore! There also used to be a Contact Us tab with a number to call to reach a real live representative. Now, all you get is the option to "chat." Since that was my only option, I clicked on it, but it told me the service couldn't be reached!! This app is terrible now!
always need a OTP ... every single time I login I need to get a one-time password from my email even though I always click trust this device. I get emails confirming that I have entered a new trusted device but without fail I always need an OTP, even if it's the very same day. this is also how the desktop works every.single. time. it's very irritating. that said, once you get in it is a very decent app.
I can't login to the app without a second computer. I can't switch to my email app to see the verification code because the keyboard disappears and I can't get it back. So I keep spamming myself with verification codes because I can never enter the previous code when I switch out of the app. Was this even tested? Seriously, this is ridiculous. Edit for the reply below: I am using the latest version! There is no update available on Android!
