Reviews for Bloom: 10 Worlds

Finally available for android, and oh so wonderful. Would love a sleep timer longer than 60 minutes, at least a couple of hours. Beautiful app!

Been waiting 10 years for a version to finally be available on Android. A must have if you're a fan of Eno's (or anyone else's for that matter) ambient works.

Super nice app, writing great. Will get 5 starts when it has background play 😊 I want to listen with the screen off and phone in pocket. OnePlus 6, Android 10. Many thanks.

Love it! But pls could you developers make this run also with screen off and other apps running? This way its impossible to use the app as an ambient/background music generator - which I supposed it's intended for

It's neat. Makes interesting ambient sounds that are pleasant. It's $5, so you're paying for Eno's name on it. Even then still over priced. It works on my OLD (2012) samsung tablet and OLD (2014) GS5, but not my brand new pixel 3? Meh.

I use this app daily. I am an Eno fan and work with clients who have been through trauma. I play the app in the background to their pleasure (when they notice)...I have a Pixel 6. I bought the Pixel 7 and when I saw the Pixel 7 would not support the Bloom 10 app, I returned the Pixel 7 and kept the Pixel 6.

Absolutely stunning tool to create ambient soundscapes. The sound quality is very good. Thank you for making a port for Android.

Its a shame that this app just doesnt work in the background . You cant record your ambient music inside this app which is also misunderstanding. After all im little dissapointed but it's still a decent app ,but for what purpose?

Great app for creating calming music with little to no effort. My only request is that the music should continue to play with the app in background or screen off, even if just with automatic mode.

Just Heard About It When Brian Eno Was Interviewed On Click, BBC World Service. Sophos Security Says It Is security risk. Brian warned new android version was hard to create and it does not work on old tablet but it is beautiful and His advice how to use it is simple and good.

I have always wanted to grow up and be BrianEno...however since there already is one this is the next best thing. He has given us this tool which provides the ability to create unlimited atmospheres and simply delicious sonic wallpapers...this is " Music for Airports" on steroids...and the best part is YOU are the engineer. This will be the best Christmas present I've given myself in many years. Thank you Mr. Eno and friends!

And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands!!! It's back! There has been a giant Eno shaped hole in my life since Bloom went on hiatus. At which point my old tablet became a dedicated Bloom device. Which should speak for how good this app is. It's been several years now since I discovered it and I'm never bored. From weird and chaotic experimental ear benders to soothing, minimal eno-tastic atmospheres this interactive generative audio-visual experience knows no equal. 1/1 !!

The original "Bloom" app for iOS was ALMOST enough to make me want an iphone. This is not just endlessly enthralling. It's a genuine creative experience rooted in some pretty sophisticated musical knowledge. I SIMPLY LOVE LOVE LOVE IT and I was SOOOO excited to see it is available in an update form for Android.... UNTIL I saw that it is NOT COMPATIBLE with my Pixel phone.... :( SOOOOO BUMMED OUT! However, I have an older Android tablet that it DOES work on and it is every bit as fantastic as the original Bloom iOS app. Please don't hesitate to pay for and use this app. My kids LOVE it too. But PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fix the compatibility issue with the Pixel so I can enjoy it everywhere I go. PLEASE!

It is a beautiful app, but I can't seem to make it run in the background, or with the screen off. Hopefully at some point those issues can be addressed. Other than that, it is a sonic masterpiece.

its okay however you can't use it while doing anything else on you phone. looking at the artwork gets boring fast but the music is great. I'd love to be able to continue listening to the music while doing other things with the screen. ie work, read...

What a fantastic app - like having ten, or even a hundred, or a thousand, Brian Eno albums for less than ten pounds. I like the fact you can't record - it gives the sounds/music an ephemeral quality that is in keeping with their meditative nature. The images are rather beautiful as well, especially the gorgeous Edo. A long-time coming on Android but well worth the weight.

Repeats the shifting patterns too quickly - there is no control over the timing and that, for me, generally makes it too distracting to work well as ambient background music or during hypnagogia (when taking asleep). I'd be interested in an update.

Not only a fine app, but a serious contender for Best Thing Ever. Is it an instrument or a time-waster? An intuitive-but-opaque compositional tool or a toy? A generator of seemingly random noises or a much-needed method of reclaiming one's personal sonic space from an endless daily cavalcade of sales pitches? Yes. Yes it is. Depends on what you want to do with it, doesn't it?

This application is one of the best on my device, and one of the best I've used since smartphones have existed. It's pure bliss, it helps with sleep and relaxation, and I love it. One problem- I'm leaving android and all smartphones behind soon. They are too problematic to continue using. I hope I can find Bloom10 outside android! Maybe Linux? Just a thought.

Android user. The app is fantastic in many ways but one , which really must be solved in updates. If you navigate away from the screen it stops. if you turn off your screen it stops. I use the auto play feature during work and I want the screen to go blank. I use it when going to bed and I want the sound to continue and really want the screen blank. I want to be able to navigate away from it to check email and have the music continue. let it work in this way just like any music app.
